Prior to starting Dirty Deeds, Janet had twenty years of experience in social work. It is this background that allows her to sensitively assist people through the process of letting go of their belongings and moving on to a new situation. Letting go of our “stuff” can be hard on anyone, but particularly for seniors who may be leaving a home that they have been in for thirty years or more. |

The memorial tree planting at French's Common, where Patrick Leonard will adjudicate the proceedings. Our Mayor, Joe Sullivan, will also share a few thoughts before we finalize the planting of the trees. We will need several volunteers to assist in shoveling and planting several trees as well. This will not be a long event. The significance of this event will be memorializing those soldiers and volunteers from Braintree who had participated in WWI either by giving their lives, or were from our Rotary Club, or women from Braintree who have served as well. There were eighteen individuals who served between each of these three designations, and eighteen trees will be planted in their memory. A special thank you goes out to Pat Leonard for ALL of his creative efforts for this, and many other events he initiates!

Rotary District 7950 is teaming up with The Providence Bruins to End Polio Now! $5 from each ticket goes to End Polio Now, so this is really a great cause. Jim Norton gave a great speech at our most recent meeting about the collective efforts of Rotary around the world towards this cause (so far, Rotary has contributed $1.8 Billion!).
The cost per ticket is $15. This is a special ticket offer for all Rotarians, their family and friends.
